Website design and development for businesses

Websites people look at twice.

At Double Take I design and build websites for businesses. The first look stops your client. The second convinces them they have come to the right place, and leads them to get in touch.

The idea

The first look stops them. The second sells.

A website has a fraction of a second to catch the eye. Then the client comes back to check it is really what they need. A good website has to win both moments.

At first glance

  • A distinctive lookA website nobody could mistake for a competitor's template.
  • A clear messageWithin seconds people know what you do and who it is for.
  • Considered detailsTypography, rhythm and motion build trust before anyone reads the first sentence.

At second glance

  • An offer that is easy to buyServices, scope and the way you work, described without guesswork.
  • Contact without frictionPhone, form and next step always within thumb's reach.
  • SEO foundationsStructure, content and data that Google understands from day one.
  • SpeedLight code and optimised images, because every second of waiting costs enquiries.

Services

Two routes to a better website

Website design and development for businesses. From scratch, or building on a site that already has a history on Google.

Route A

You have no website, or want to start over

New company website

From structure and copy, through visual design, to build and launch.

  • Strategy and structure
  • UX/UI design
  • Development
  • Technical SEO

Route B

You have a website that already gets Google traffic

Redesign and migration

A new look and new technology without losing rankings. SEO experience protects the traffic your site already has, and prepares it for Google better than before.

  • Audit of the current site
  • 301 redirects
  • Moving off WordPress

Both routes end with a fast Astro website, with no plugins to keep updating. Why Astro

I focus on company websites. If you need something else, such as an online shop, get in touch anyway. You will get an honest answer about whether it is a project for Double Take.

Who it is for

For companies that want to look as good as they are.

Service and B2B companies

Clients compare several providers, and your website has to win them over before they pick up the phone.

Companies that have outgrown their website

The offer has changed and the company has grown, but the website still looks like it did years ago.

Specialists and small teams

Law firms, clinics, studios, consultants. Anywhere clients buy trust in specific people.

Teams tired of WordPress

Plugins, updates, break-ins and slow loading. A static website removes most of these problems.

Marketing that counts enquiries

A website ready for SEO and campaigns, with tracking that shows where clients come from.

When I am not the right fit

If the website has to be ready tomorrow for a few hundred euros, a website builder will serve you better. I design from scratch, so I need time to understand your business.

What you get

A website that works, not one that just sits there.

Every project covers what a company website needs to bring in enquiries. I tailor the scope to your company, but I never skip the foundations.

  • A site structure planned around how clients search for your services.
  • Content organised around the client's questions: what, for whom, how much and how to start.
  • Custom visual design for phone and desktop, without an off-the-shelf template.
  • An Astro build which means fast HTML, with JavaScript only where it adds something.
  • Technical SEO titles, descriptions, canonicals, a sitemap, structured data and redirects.
  • Accessibility contrast, keyboard navigation and forms people can fill in without guessing.
  • A contact form that actually delivers, with clear messages for the sender.
  • Analytics with cookie consent handling, if you need it.
  • The code and repository access plus instructions for making simple changes.
  • Pre-launch checks of performance, links, forms and indexing.

The code and the domain belong to you. Your website is not locked into a proprietary system you cannot leave.

Process

How a website comes together

Six stages, each with a clear result. You always know where we are, and you can change direction before changes start to cost money.

  1. Conversation

A short talk about your company, your clients and the goal of the website. Afterwards you know whether and how we can work together.

  2. Scope and quote

You get the scope, timeline and price in writing. No asterisks and no hidden stages.

  3. Structure and content

A page map, the searches worth answering and a content outline. This is the cheapest stage to change your mind.

  4. Design

Key screens for phone and desktop. We review them together and I refine them before any code is written.

  5. Build and testing

Development, plus work on speed, accessibility and SEO. Forms and menus are tested on real devices.

  6. Launch

Publishing, redirects, submitting the sitemap in Google Search Console and checking indexing after launch.

Price

What affects the price

Every website is quoted individually, but the way I quote is no secret. These are the factors that change the price the most.

How much a website costs

Number of unique layouts

Five pages built from one template cost less than five pages that each have their own layout. What counts is the number of designs, not the number of URLs.

Content

Whether you have the copy and photos ready, or they need to be organised and written. This is often the biggest unknown in a project.

Redesign instead of a fresh start

Migrating a website that already ranks on Google needs a URL map, redirects and checks after launch. It is extra work that protects your traffic.

Integrations

Booking calendars, CRM, newsletters, payments. Every connection to an external system has to be designed and tested.

Who is behind it

A studio that thinks like SEO.

I'm Maciek and I have worked in SEO for years. I was Head of SEO at Gemini Polska and Staples Solutions, and today I also run Outrank.pl, a brand specialising in SEO and visibility in AI answers.

From that perspective I see how many companies lose clients through websites that look good but do not answer people's questions, load too slowly or lose their rankings after a redesign. I founded Double Take to design websites where I plan looks and visibility together.

What I check in every project

  1. SEOHeadings, URLs and copy built around what clients search for.
  2. GEO and AI assistantsClear answers that Google and ChatGPT can quote.
  3. Speed (Core Web Vitals)Light images and code, fast on phones too.
  4. Structured dataCompany, services and FAQ described in code for search engines.

Questions

Before you get in touch

How much does a website cost?

The price depends mostly on the number of unique layouts, the state of your content, integrations, and whether I am moving an existing site that ranks on Google. My pricing page explains how we quote. You get a specific figure after a short conversation, together with the scope of work.

How long does a website take?

It depends on the scope and on how quickly the content comes together, because content is what most often holds projects up. We agree the timeline before I start and it is part of the quote.

Will I be able to edit the content myself?

Yes. Small changes only need an edit to the content files. If your team will publish regularly, I can add a content editing panel. We decide this when quoting, because it affects the scope.

Will the website show up on Google?

Every website gets SEO foundations: a structure based on how people search, correct metadata, structured data, a sitemap and fast loading. Foundations do not guarantee rankings, but without them rankings are hard to get. Ongoing SEO is handled by my sister brand Outrank.pl.

Do you work with clients outside Poland?

Yes. I am based in Gdańsk, Poland, and the whole project can run remotely. Websites can be built in English, Polish or both.

Is a website builder or AI not enough?

For a simple business card site it often is. A builder or AI can put a page together quickly, but it will not work out what your clients are looking for, how you differ from competitors and how to show it so that people look twice. That is what Double Take does.

First step

Make them look twice.

Tell me in a few sentences what your company does and what the new website should change. You'll get questions back, or a proposal for next steps.
