Design concepts

Website concepts for fictional brands.

Three concepts for fictional brands. Each one shows the problem the design starts from and the decisions that follow. You can find real work in the Work section.

The brands, copy and mock-ups were made up for this website.

Design concept 01 · Accounting firm

Rachunek Prosty, website concept for: Accounting firm

People choosing an accountant compare two things above all: the price and whether they will have peace of mind. Most accounting websites open with a list of services instead of answering those two questions.

Mock-up of the Rachunek Prosty concept. The design decisions are described in the list next to it.
  1. A headline about the outcome, not the service

Nobody searches for "full bookkeeping". They look for someone who takes the fear out of deadlines. The first sentence says exactly that.

  2. Price in the main button

Cost is the first question in this industry. The button goes straight to pricing instead of a generic contact form.

  3. Specifics instead of logos

Instead of a wall of client logos, the strip says who the firm is for and how the work is done. That filters enquiries before anyone gets in touch.

  4. The phone number is always at hand

Some clients would rather call than write. The number sits in the header and works with one tap on a phone.

The brand, copy and mock-up are fictional. This concept shows how I think, not a client project.

Design concept 02 · Physiotherapy clinic

Ruchomo, website concept for: Physiotherapy clinic

Patients look for help with a specific problem, not for "physiotherapy". Within seconds the website has to show that this clinic treats their kind of pain, and offer an early appointment.

Mock-up of the Ruchomo concept. The design decisions are described in the list next to it.
  1. A promise in the patient's words

A runner with a sore knee wants to run again. The headline talks about the goal, not the treatment methods.

  2. Booking without a phone call

The button opens a calendar with free slots. Fewer calls during treatments and more bookings in the evening.

  3. Problems as ways into the site

Each area has its own page. That is how patients search on Google, so the same pages work for visibility.

  4. Directions in the navigation

Local services win on convenience. Address, parking and map are one click away, and the address is marked up in the page code.

The brand, copy and mock-up are fictional. This concept shows how I think, not a client project.

Design concept 03 · Bespoke furniture

Słoje, website concept for: Bespoke furniture

Bespoke furniture sells through photos, but photos can kill page speed. Clients also want to know how long it takes and how to start before they pick up the phone.

Mock-up of the Słoje concept. The design decisions are described in the list next to it.
  1. A concrete promise

"To the millimetre" is something the client will check at installation. Better than a vague "highest quality".

  2. A first step that does not intimidate

Instead of "Request a quote", the button asks for measurements. The form accepts photos and sketches, so the conversation starts with specifics.

  3. Photos that do not slow things down

The large project photo loads first in a modern format, and the rest of the gallery only when someone scrolls to it.

  4. Projects first

The gallery is the main proof of quality, so it comes first in the navigation.

The brand, copy and mock-up are fictional. This concept shows how I think, not a client project.
